With #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and #BlackLivesMatter shirts beneath dapper suits, face masks, raising fists and signs in the air - the scene of peaceful demonstrators that flooded Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd towards Central Park were a remarkable and powerful head-turning sight to behold.

Last week when  LA / NYC Stylist, Gabriel M Garmon reached out on social media  for a demonstrators to put on a suit and tie, a shirt or their "best"  in honor and remembrance of George Floyd - whose funeral was happening the same day in Minneapolis.  He had hopes that 100 other Black men would join him.

Led by Garmon and his two friends in the fashion / creatives community - Brandon Murphy and Harold Waight- the 100+ Black men who showed up was a testament of how fashion can be used as a creative outlet to make a powerful statement. The response was a touching and brilliant show of honor and sartorial respect for Floyd.
